In order to realize the “basic management policy,” it goes without saying that each one of our employees should be healthy; otherwise Phenitec would not be able to achieve its vision of “better satisfaction for our customers” and “better life for our employees.”

Our efforts have been appreciated by the “2024 Certified KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations (under the large enterprise category)” recognition program, which is an award system of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry that recognizes companies practicing outstanding health management.

*The KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations recognition program is an award system that Nippon Kenko Kaigi organizes to create an environment that allows employees, job applicants, related companies and financial institutions to notice large and midsize to small enterprises practicing particularly outstanding health management so that awarded companies can be publicly recognized.

BCP Commitment
For employees
It is a key element to maintain the soundness of our management in order to assure our employees’ job security. For the safety of our employees in the event of a major disaster or an outbreak of infectious diseases, we consider it part of our BCP commitment to provide safety and peace of mind.
For customers
We have formulated and are operating a business continuity plan (BCP) for emergencies such as natural disasters and infectious diseases to fulfill the responsibility to supply products to our customers. Specific activities include developing an emergency response manual, seismically reinforcing the production facilities, stockpiling food and water, establishing a private fire brigade, and exercising evacuation drills and safety confirmation system drills.

Management policy
Phenitec Semiconductor Corporation “recognizes that the protection of the global environment is the most important issue for all humankind” as stated in our basic management policy and promotes environmental protection activities in all areas of our business activities.
Phenitec accurately assesses the environmental impact of its semiconductor manufacturing activities and implements continuous improvement activities to the extent technically and economically feasible in order to prevent pollution and reduce environmental load.
Complying with environmental laws and regulations and other requirements, Phenitec controls chemical substances contained in its products and promotes the active use of recycled products to continuously protect and improve the environment.
Phenitec focuses on the following items as key issues.
1) We engage in energy-saving activities to prevent global warming (CO2 reduction)
2) We design, develop and market environmentally friendly products and manufacturing processes.
3) We strive to make effective use of resources.
Phenitec establishes an environmental management system, then periodically reviews it, and also helps its employees improve their awareness and ability so that all of them understand the environmental policy and carry out environmental protection activities on a continuous basis.
Specific efforts (active use of recycled products)
1. Phenitec has been certified as “Okayama Eco Business Site (General business site category).”
In order to build a sound material recycling-oriented society, Phenitec actively uses recycled products. We created a system for active use of recycled products in fiscal 2006 in preparation for the “Okayama Eco Business Site (General business site category)” certification, and since fiscal 2007, we have been actively procuring three or more classifications of goods specified by Okayama Prefecture by setting procurement targets on them. Our efforts to promote the use of recycled products as part of Phenitec’s environmental protection activities have been highly evaluated, and in September 2008, Phenitec won the “Okayama Eco Business Site” certification as a general business site.
